PAX wheels on non PAX van?

Okay the whole PAX thing has me confused. I have an 07EXL and have found a local set of the 10 spoke rims off a PAX van that need new tires. I guess my question is can i use these rims and just put good tires on them and sell the tpms sensors off them as well? I have read where the PAX vans "shouldn't" use other wheels/tires but is there really anything about the rims alone that i couldn't de-tpms them and use them on my ex-l? Seems silly to me. But these rims local r super cheap and i really like them. Thanks!

It would certainly work but I highly recommend calling your local tire shops and asking the quote to replace those tires on them super cheap rims. You gotta remember, there is a reason those rims are super cheap. Also, there is a reason there are only 5 million dePax threads on here.

BTW. The 2007 EXL does have TPMS sensors so you wouldn't be dr-tpmsing them but rather you'd need to use your own TPMS sensors if you do go for this but I doubt you would after you get a quote for replacing the tires. Make sure you are sitting firmly in your chair and are holding on to some thing when the guy gives you the quote to replace the tires.
I know...the stock replacements are $$$$. So u HAVE to use those tires I take it? Didn't know if there were other options. Prob won't bother then. Mayb keep an eye out for MDX wheels or sumthin.

Not only do you have to use those tires, but you have to have a dealer with special equipment do the work. Look around here and you will see. I like you like the look of the PAX 10 spoke but will not go to them from stock.
