Wow-ee-wow-wow-wow! Somebody pinch me.

I just want to ask, has anybody had any experiences with ttastore.com? 2002 LX, have you received your speakers or ordered from them before?

Bryan,

No, I've not received them yet. Just ordered today. Like you, I felt it was too good to pass up. Shipping was calculated at $ 4.48 to Phoenix.

Are these the coaxials that fit w/o any cutting/drilling? Straight drop in?

If so, I'm going to order some too.

Now, does anyone know if the rear speakers can be drop-in replaced with these on the 2002's since they are the same size as the fronts now?

I think this 1655 is the one that you don't have to cut or drill, just drop it in since its depth is only 1 11/16" compare to the 1665 & 1695, both of which has a depth of 2 5/16".
However, with the basic philosophy that 'you've got what you've paid for', I am a little skeptical about the difference between 1655 and the factory speaker. Anyone has listened and compare the stock and the 1655?

I bought my 1655's or 1086's (I can't remember which) from these guys. Very quick service and no problems whatsoever.

The 1655's are definitely the direct drop in replacements for the front door speakers. No cutting, drilling, or other unsavory modifications to your van. You will need a set of speaker adapter harnesses ... $5 at Best Buy or Circuit City. I can't speak for what fits the rear openings of the 2002 model.

I did compare the sound versus the stock speakers. The sound IS better than the stock speakers but not outstanding by any stretch of the imagination. For $30 you will definitely appreciate the additional clarity. My van is a 2001, so if you have a 2002 your results may vary.

I consider it a "must-do" mod if you have a 2001 or prior Ody.

I ordered the speakers on 11/26 after 2002 LX's post, and my wife said they came today. Quick service.

I ordered:

1 Pioneer TSA1655 6.5" Speaker $39.00
1 Pioneer TSG1045 4" Speaker $29.00

from www.etronics.com, because I saw the name in a few other posts as a place to order from. They seem to make up their money in the shipping & handling ($27 !!!!), but I still got my front and rears for less than $100.

I ordered them on 25-Nov, but when I go to the site and look up my order, it is still in the "packaging" stage. :-(
I hope they ship soon.
In any case, $29 with $4-$5 for shipping is great!

I hope those 1045 4" speakers are an upgraded version of the other 4" speaker they had...what was that, 1086?

My 1655's arrived yesterday from TTA Direct (ttastore), Total was $ 34.36 with shiping. I did a comparison on their site for other Pioneer speakers including shipping ( which seems to vary widely by vendor.

1665's = $ 60.81
1695"s = $ 88.41

I bought my speaker harness at Best Buy for $ 4.88 ; they're in the Car Audio Section. Look for Metra 72-7800 in the Honda speaker connect rack ; there's a yellow label on the bottom of the package that says 72-7800 .
