In my 2000, for about as long as I can remember, my power seat recline slowly creeps back on its own. I then have to adjust it forward every few days. Lately it's developed a new problem where whenever I run the recline forward to the full forward position, the seat back will stop moving forward but the motor keeps running, does not stop and clicks. I can live with the seat back creeping and assume that's just the mechanism slowly getting tweaked under pressure, but the clicking is driving me nuts.

I looked in my FSM but cannot determine if there are any limit switches. The circuit diagram doesn't explicitly show them. What, then, is supposed to stop the seat back? Hard stops? Wouldn't that just burn out the motor eventually?

You are probably going to have to replace the motor as the sensing is internal to the motor.
