We just purchased a 2007 Odyssey a week ago.

I can not seem to get the Homelink programmed.

We have a Chamberlain garage door opener from Costco and I have tried the couple of different ways it tells you to do it and it still won't work.

Any help would be appreciated.

TIA

I have found that the tricky part is the rolling code security. Following the training steps in the manual. That is the easy part.

The next step is to press the learn button on the garage motor. You have 30 seconds to then:

PRESS AND HOLD THE HOMELINK BUTTON FOR 3-4 SECONDS

THEN

PRESS AND HOLD THE HOMELINK BUTTON FOR 3-4 SECONDS

That is it, worked like a charm on the MDX, S430, Ody, 300C, all the Homelink units in my experience work this way, before I figured this out the X5 gave me fits.

I had a problem programming one of my garage doors on my Homelink.

Turns out that (per Homelink Customer Service) there is a problem with the Genie Keychain Remote Control with 3 buttons (available at Home Depot). For those not familiar with the device, it will control up to 3 garage door openers. The two smaller buttons work fine with Homelink, but the large button will not program any Homelink. Once I used the original remote control, I was able to program my Homelink to open/close the remaining door without a problem.
