After a drain and then a fill through the dip stick tube, I found I had too put in too much.
After turning off the engine and measuring the dip stick between 60-90 secs, its about 2-3mm above the highest hole on the dipstick.

What do you guys think?

PS: I did 2 drain and fills and boy what a difference!

2 or 3 mm over the top mark should not be a big deal.

If it bothers you too much, just loosen up the drain bolt and let a little ATF drain out.
Re-measure and see if new level is between the lower and upper marks.
If you drain out too much, just put some ATF back in.

You should check the level when the ATF is at full temperature (about 180 F). It expands when it heats up. So it could be more than 2-3 mm over.

Svezarov, yes thats the plan. I just have to by another case of atf! sure do love the feel of it, smoooooth...actually i had a bit of a groan that started to develop when the van was driven for more than 1 hr and in stop and go. this seems to have fixed it. lucky since the tranny warranty has just expired.
Happy new year to all!
