One of my front springs is making a lot of noise and I'm thinking about replacing the struts on my 2000 with 190K miles. I saw 1AAUTO has a pair for $160 shipped. Has anyone used them here ? I don't expect 10 year life out of them but the price is half of Monroe and KYB units. I'm looking to get a decent ride and not looking to spend too much money on a 17 year old van.

Was also looking at the 1AAUTO strut towers for my own DIY job, since they're about the cheapest out there. Heard anecdotal tales that "cheap struts" are more likely to be an imbalanced pair., ie one has more lift or different ride quality than the other. Besides that, which isn't even specific to this manufacturer, I too haven't heard anything about these struts.

Would be curious to hear from anyone who has had first-hand experience with them.

The spring noise may be coming from a bad strut bearing. Your Honda struts are the best available. Get a good suspension shop to check them and possibly just replace the bearings. Don't replace the struts if it's not necessary. My 2002 odyssey has over 400K on it with original struts, I have replaced 1 strut bearing.
