The other day while I was driving the radio jumped up 2 spots (102.5 to 102.7) and I just figured I must have bumped the steering wheel controls by accident. Yesterday my wife told me the same thing happened to her. She thought that same thing, but then it happened agian when her hands were nowhere near the wheel. This morning she called me and said she had started the van, had the radio on, forgot something, and went back in to get it. When she came out the radio had jumped again! Of course she asked me if I messed with the radio during the fog light install...................
Any ideas??????

NO KIDDING..........

Now I am even starting to wonder......................maybe I knocked something loose, but I was no where near the steering column/wheel or radio! I guess it's time to have it looked at, but I bet it's one of those "it's not doing it right now so we can't fix it deals. So I will have an expensive van that the radio doesn't work right on.................

Seriously, you might have a "sticky" button. Happened to me once when someone spilled coke on the front panel of my home TV - it then decided to have a mind of its own and was flipping channels all by itself :) I had to take the TV apart and clean the contacts with the "goo gone" yellow solution.

In your case it could be someone had accidentally spilled some soda on the radio. While the front can be cleaned up, the "stuff" remains inside and causes this weirdness. If you have NAVI, then spilling is even easier because of those dashboard cupholders right next to the radio panel !

I don't think so.........

I'll check the buttons on the wheel itself to see if they are sticking though. The dash is pretty clean as I keep a 3M detail cloth in the van a give it a quick once over every time I am driving. This helps keep up on the abuse by the wife & kids LOL! Wife doesn't like to drive my truck because she is afraid she will get something dirty or leave a straw wrapper in it..................

We have not had this problem with our van. In case you have not checked the remote/rear control, it is worth a look there for the stuck button problem. The only other easy thing I can think of would be to sit down with the Owner's Manual and check through all your settings in case there is some scenario, like unintentional brief activation of SCAN mode, that may be playing tricks on you. Good luck! :)

At least it's just your radio.
I once had a Jeep Wrangler and the headlights would come on out of nowhere in the middle of the night. This wasn't too bad while I lived in an apartment that had a good view of my jeep out my window, but I soon moved into a house with a detached garage---boy was that crazy, going and checking the lights in the middle of the night.
Crazy youth

NOT STEERING WHEEL..............

It hasn't done it in the past 24 hours now. I was checking the buttons on the steering wheel last night. Came to the conclusion it can't be that. The control on the steering wheel just goes between pre-sets. When the radio changes, it just goes from say 94.5 to 94.7, just the next"turn of the knob" not the next pre-set. The tuner knob on the radio seems fine as well. I guess it would have to be something internal with the actual tuner. Who knows!

I tried removing the rear dvd remote, which can control the radio, and it seems to stop the changing of the stations.

Low batteries can do some strange things. Once had a garage door that would open and close on it's own until I changed the remote batteries.

This seems to be an issue for other makes/models, so I am sure it's not the only cause, but it's worth a try if you are having this problem.

AHAH!!!!

Mine started doing this last week. I figured the car wash plicks soaked the radio interface & I get what I deserved.

It's not bump related, it's not cell related, beats the hell outta me. Time to get the Pioneer blah blah unit with navi.

Try removing the dvd remote. Bet the batteries are dying and sending out weird signals. Removed a week ago and haven't had the problem since.

Yes, I know it's been 7.5 years since the last post, but I'm having the same random channel change issue on an 07 EX-L RES. I removed the remote completely and it keeps happening, so I can rule that out. It has happened while driving "straight and level," without hitting a bump, without turning the wheel and without bumping the controls. I searched but haven't found any solutions yet.
