Just the lights on the OEM radio/DVD player of my '98 have stopped working. Everything else works fine. I've tried a forum search, but nothing like this has turned up. Can anyone suggest a cure that doesn't involve replacing the whole unit?

TRY hitting it. Sounds odd enough, but sometimes on the a/c unit head does the same thing. The connections loosen up over time, causing dimming or on/off lights.
If that doesn't work, search ebay for used unit.

2x on hitting it. I have to do the same thing with the left light in the climate control.

Thanks for the tip! It partially worked! Now I have a light on in the center-right section--behind the #3 and 6 stations and the button to their right. Looks like there should be two more lights to the left side and one to the right. Maybe taking the unit out and fooling with the contacts will get the rest going.
