I have an 03 odyssey which recently had a rock hit the condensor. My husband replaced it, and had the ac recharged. The ac will work fine and blows extremely cold air both in the front and rear. However, if it is an extremely hot day and the ac is put on in the rear, you can hear the condensor trying to kick on a few times but fails and then shuts down the ac in the back & the front. What is going on?

Like I said, it only happens when it's really hot out and I use the rear ac. Thanks

Let me add when I say it shuts down the ac, it still blows air, just warm out from outside and it is not cooling.

Have the charge checked. It may be too high or too low. The temperature at the evaporator gets below freezing with a low charge causing the evaporator to ice up.
