Just got my '00 EX-Nav on Saturday, with just a hair under 30k miles on it. On Wednesday I noticed that the back brakes were making a groaning noise when making a full stop. Took it back to the dealer that I bought it from, the tech and I did a road test with me driving (very cool, first time that has happened). Tech said glazing on the shoes. Put the car up on the lift, plenty of pad. Tech cleaned the brakes with cleaner and 40 grit. Cleaned the drums with cleaner. Adjusted the brakes for a stiffer parking brake. All while I watched and talked with him about other issues to look out for (front brake groan, easiest way to change the oil, etc.)
Now, a day later, the groan is back. Has any one had the same issue? What fixed it?
I am thinking about having the drums turned to rough them up a bit or just hit them with some 40 grit as well.
