I'm aware that this is mostly just an opinion question but... I was thinking about swapping the rear drum brakes over to pads and rotors on my 2000 ex-l. This is something I've done a 100 times on civics and accords, so I'm not worried about getting the job done. I am worried that on the van it will almost be a waste of time. I would like to know if anyone that has done this swap has actually noticed a vast improvement in stopping ability, or is this really just going to make future brake jobs easier/less time consuming?

Before anyone bashes me to use the search option I have. I can't seem to find an answer to this question. Just a lot of info on what parts to use. As well as a hand full of people asking why bother? Which is why I'm asking. Thanks in advance.

Honda switched from rear drums to rotors in 2002. I recall a few posts way back that folks didn't notice any difference in braking between drum models and rotor models. However, IMHO the rotors look way cooler than drums behind the alloy wheels.

I doubt you would see much change in braking but it does look better. If you do it you want to swap for the 2001-2003 rear brake system which is actually a disc system with a drum built into it for the e-brake.
