Since 2002 Ody's RES is set to play "region 1" DVD only, does anyone know if it's possible to modify it into a "region free" DVD player? Any idea? We think it will be nice if we can enjoy our region 2 (European) concert DVD's in our Ody... (RES simply ejects the inserted region 2 DVD's!)

There probably is a way to mod it but it might involve opening it up and adding a chip. Just a guess...

You could try converting your DVDs into VCDs. VCD should be able to play in most of todays DVD players. For more info go here:

Alternately, doesn't the 02 RES have RCA inputs? If so, just buy a handy $35 power inverter and stick your Apex in the car.

That's the way to do it. Going to Disneyworld? Think ahead, and build yourself a 200 hour TIVO. Save up all those Junkyard Wars, etc., then have your wife drive while you lounge in back, watching all that TV you've saved up...

Yeah, I'm still trying to get through that Thanksgiving Day marathon of JW. That's right at the top of my list of favorite shows on TV right now. I think the walking vehicle (held together by a man's trouser belt toward the end) is my favorite...tied w/ the trebuchets. ...oh then there's the hovercrafts...
