I have searched the forums and did not find anything about this. We had a boo-boo in the cargo area of our van. ONE GALLON of vegetable oil turned over and about 1/2 of it spilled. (The darn seal wasn't on good when bought at the grocery!) We have used kitty litter to soak up the majority of the oil and have opened the drain hole from underneath the van. What now? Can the carpet be removed and cleaned? Just use carpet cleaner, hose it out and use a shop vac? HELP! We're leaving for vacation in a couple of weeks and don't want to travel in a rancid van!

I dont think you can only replace the cargo carpeting, but you would have to do the whole floor piece (at least thats my understanding). I was told by a dealership that its all one piece and could be replaced to the tune of about $800.

I have to the same thing at some point, but due to a bottle of bleach.
