No - you have to buy the under-seat CD changer. There isn't enough space in the dash for the in-dash CD changer.

Au Contra!! Upon trying to order my new RES, the dealer found that the RES is the ONLY model that doesn't allow the addition of the CD Changer under the driver's seat. Does anyone out there have the changer WITH the RES option?

Exactly what did your dealer find out?

RES can have the CD changer in its stock location, under the passenger seat. That leaves the driver's seat to house the subwoofer--which is convenient, as that's where Honda designed it to fit.

The NAV models have the NAV hardware under the passenger seat; this leaves only the driver's seat available, and you can put either the CD changer OR the subwoofer down there, but not both.

But there's no problem putting the CD changer into the RES model. And if you'll notice, the RES head unit is marked for the CD changer....

So exactly what did your dealer find out?

The dealer (Schroeder Motor Mall in Benton Harbor, MI) pulled out the binder of Odyssey options for 2002 and sure enough, the matrix had a blank for the CD Changer option for the RES. All other Odyssey models, including the NAV had a CD Changer possible. I'm thinking that maybe the head unit's rear plug (for a CD Changer) is already taken by the rear display screen unit? Has anyone physically installed the CD Changer on a RES system?

Huh. Even honda.com, in their "customize your vehicle" area, shows the subwoofer as the only audio accessory available to the RES.
