So about a month ago, I would get this constant "beeeeeeepppppppppp" coming from the right slide door when the switch on the dash for the doors is on automatic mode, and when the car is driving. Went away for a bit, but I did notice that when it closes, it was a bit odd like at the very end it was hesitate on the "soft close" step if you will. Like the last part where it goes "whereereee" and brings the rear part of the door in flush with the quarter panel.

But today, it stop functioning completely. Locks, windows and whatever still works. It can't open automatically, and even in manual mode it doesn't do the last step, the "soft close" step where it brings in the rear part of the door flush with the quarter panel. Well, it did a couple times, but then would undo it and the rear part of the door would end up sticking out.

I did some searching, I don't think I have the patience to do the "radio shack" method, but damn, I think I would have to change out the rear latch assembly?

Btw, the odyssey is a 2009 EX, with about 178k. I believe I'm the 2nd owner.

I plan on removing the door panel and checking the insides in a day or two to see if I can make the door work again..if not, I'll try disassemble the rear latching mechanism. Maybe clean out some parts, test some switches...etc. Figured better to save some monies, definitely don't wanna drop close to $300 for a rear latch assembly 72610-SHJ-A22 if it's just a small switch issue.

Thanks, found my issue. Cleaned it out and works like a charm again. Glad to not drop close to $300 for a new latch assembly.
