Serpentine Belt Replacement Interval

Hello all,

Learning lot of stuff about various maintenance things. Love those mega threads such as Timing belt and VCM. My van is at 63XXX. Question is what is the serpentine belt changing interval? Some of the dealer websites are mentioning serpentine belt needs to be replaced between 60K to 100K miles. Or just wait till I replace timing belt at 105K miles? Based on timing chain mega thread and raves, seems like rockauto is THE place to purchase maintenance parts. If I have to change serpentine belt is there a particular brand the maestros recommend? Recently I changed tensioner and belt (Bando brand) on 09 CRV. So far my experience is good with Bando. Should I stick with Bando or change to AC Delco or Continental or something else? Please advice. Thank you.

How do you think the dealers make their boat payments?

LOL yeah true that. I am really not sure about the serpentine belt replacement interval. No where I could find service manual for 2020 ody. Asked at local dealer but they seemed reluctant to give me the Honda recommended service schedule items. So I am just going through forums, internet, YT and etc., So could you please help me with the info? Thank you.

This gen thread.

The service interval for both the timing belt and the serpentine belt on Hondas has been 7 years or 105K miles since the 2nd gen odyssey. You will see people saying their did their serpentine belt at 120K as far back as in the 2nd gen Odyssey.

You can also easily see if your serpentine belt needs replacing. Look at the belt especially on the ribbed side and you can see cracks. If you see cracks in the ribs, its time to replace the belt. If not, you are good to go till you get the timing belt service done.
