I have had the 2001 ex ody for 1 month and i am not happy with the groans and moans, rickets and rattles.I guess i will take the hit and stick her in the auto trader.I also feel very feminine driving a van,my wife likes the van but my ego does not.

I still have my '93 Grand Voyager with 145,000 miles and a new transmission if you'd like to come drive it - I guarantee that would raise your opinion of your Odyssey.

As to the other issue you raised, my ego would indeed prefer a Viper; Corvette; or, preferably, that black 'Cuda used in Aaron Tippin's music videos (I'm not much of a C&W fan, but I find myself flipping channels hoping to see that car!!). The Odyssey neatly fills my needs at this time, though. If you don't like the squeaks, rattles, or image that ensue from your Odyssey, by all means sell it. (You probably won't have to take much of a "hit", either.) Just out of curiosity, what do you have in mind to take its place?

groupset is right. You probably won't loose much in the trade. But I must say the Odyssey is not your average minivan. I find a lot of car owners envious of the Odysseys spacious interior, powerful engine, towing capabilites, better gas milege better than an SUV, sleek exterior styling, navigation, car like handling and more. So you may want re-think your decision. If not - I'm sure you'll be able to sell it quickly.

I am not a big fan of mini-vans however like all vehicles it fills a need at this point. I am glad I bought an odyssey to fill that need. You will quickly get over it after driving it for awhile. If it is still an issue then why not customize it to give it a more personable feel. Cheer up you made an excellent purchase.
Sorry to hear that you're unhappy with the Odyssey.
Ironically, my wife & I like the Odyssey because it "drives and feels more like a car" than our other car (Toyota Avalon). My wife had an Integra and this feels like driving the Integra, only bigger.

I'm sure you can find a taker for you Odyssey with no problem.

How mocho will you feel strapping a 4'x8' sheet of plywood to the roof of your BMW M3? If you think logically, an Odyssey minivan is by far the most efficient vehicle you can buy. It's morons that spend 10 grand more for an SUV that has less room, less handling, less mpg and is slower. Let your brain tell your ego to "shove it"

That's almost an exact quote of what I told myself when I got rid of the 4Runner for the Ody.

Hey, it's not for everyone! That's why there is so much variety on the market.
ckonarske,

I bet it felt good when you got rid of that 4RUNNER and got the Odyssey.
Currently I have a 97 4RUNNER and let me tell you I feel like I'm driving a NUT-SHELL on oversized balloon wheels. Please tell me it was a great choice.
Do you miss anything that the 4RUNNER had that the Ody may not have?
Ditto to Larry and Chuck. I've always wanted a pickup truck since I must be Home Depot's favorite customer. But I couldn't justify the lack of family space (and mileage). We needed a bigger vehicle to haul kids, dog, gear, etc. So to me the attributes of the Odyssey (size, space, mileage, seats, etc.) and the fact that I think it is the least wimpy/most muscular looking minivan made it a winner, PLUS I think of it as my covered pickup that also happens to get decent mileage and can haul the whole family comfortably, with room for stuff to spare.

That said, and in all fairness, I must admit that I've noticed more rattles than I'd care to and they are starting to get to me. That is the only negative so far in my 2500 miles of ownership. I'm thinking of offering to pay Chuck's way out here and have him give my Ody the once over.

I didn't have problems with any aspect of the 4Runner, I had two of them over twelve years. The thing I miss most, though, is not caring what the condition of the road surface is. Our %$##$%^^& roads here in michigan are the WORST and they're hard on normal cars.
