I've retired my 2000 Ody as a daily driver. Runs and drives pretty good, but the tranny (still on the original one with 190k) tends to shift hard into 2nd gear and slips occassionally into 3rd. Clearly, it's on it's way out..but still gets you around town...for now. I'd like to see if there is something inexpensive I can do that will buy the tranny some more time. Untill I replaced it with an 06' for my wife...she had been driving it with the clunky tranny for at least the last year or so, with no issues. Was thinking about the drain/fill process a few times but was wondering if anyone had tried the BG additive. Don't care about long term results with that...rather wondering if there is any short-term improvement. Probably going to keep it down at the lake house to transport wet/sandy kids back n forth. It it shells....it shells. Any ideas?

When the clutches wear out there's nothing left to do besides spend a healthy wad of cash on a fix.
