Did a search and didn't see anything that fit my symptoms. 2002 Ody with 157,000 miles.

In the last month or so I've noticed that the van shudders or vibrates when I take my foot off the gas. Kind of hard to explain, but it sounds/feels like warped rotors when you use the brake, but I'm not using the brake when this vibration occurs. It happens when lifting, even slightly, off the gas. I replaced the pads and rotors about 5000 miles ago.

It can happen at any speed but doesn't happen all the time. Though I have noticed it is more consistent if it's raining or the roads are wet.

Maybe the pads are in there a little crooked or the water is causing them to vibrate or slap against the rotors while decelerating? Would using brake grease in the slide grooves help? Or is this something else like worn tie rods or ball joints? The steering feels fine and does not vibrate and there's noticeable drifting while driving.

Any other ideas?

Thanks for the response. I think it might be the tie rod end on the driver side. Got the front up in the air this morning and the wheel jiggled a little bit when I shook it. No movement in the passenger side. Tie rod replacement is probably not a DIY job, so I'll be making an appointment at the shop. Any ballpark on what it might cost at an independent shop.
