The instructions for my Audiovox DVD 3100 say to connect the blue wire to the "sidebrake". It is the same harness as the power and ground. Anyone know what I should do with that wire?

Is the wire a safety wire? My unit wanted me to connect a wire to the brake as well. It was a safety device to only allow the unit to play when it was parked. I connected the wire to ground and bypassed this circuit. Look at the wiring diagram carefully. The wire most likely should be grounded as well.

I checked the 3100 manual and saw what you mean. Didn't the unit come with an installation manual also? You want to double check, but pretty positive it should be connected to the ground side of the parking brake. To make it play all the time, just connect it directly to ground like Roland said.

I'd double check the install manual though, to be sure before hooking it up.

Good Luck!
