I'm going to get snow tires and wanted to save the $160 on the TPMS sensors, Tire Rack said I would get a small light on in the dash, not a large message on the dash screen. I'm OK with that but can anyone confirm that is the case?
Idiot lights don't matter; big or small, whatever. You'll lose the ability to disable the traction control and won't be able to rock yourself out of being stuck. Fat lot of good those nice winter tires will do you when the front of the van sinks in a couple of inches of soft snow.
Don't be so cheap - in for a penny, in for a pound.
I picked up a set of stock 2019 Ridgeline 18's yesterday for a steal of $250. No TPMS though.
Americas Tire wanted $240 for a set of sensors, Costco was a little cheaper at $200, but I bought Honda factory parts that totaled $131 delivered...
You might be able to use the generic eBay or Amazon 433 sensors but why take the chance of a headache.
You need not just the sensors but the washer and nut too:
Sensor Assembly, TPMS
Nut, TPMS Valve
Washer, TPMS Valve
Estimated Economy Shipping: $11.09
There are a few Honda online stores that sell all this stuff at a discount to the dealership.
Now I need to choose which tires to put on for the winter! Hope this helps.
I have a 2018 Odyssey and find the braking performance terrible.
Has anyone upgraded to larger rotors and 4 piston calipers?
I did some searching, but couldn't find anything useful.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I've noticed a few dealers in the New England area still have a handful of 2028 Elites or Tourings on their lots. All said they are just left over inventory because the specific area they are in had more economical car buyers.
I quoted them out and got lowest of $39.8k for the Elites and...
So I found these on eBay and also directly from Oedro site. I did buy the OEM all weather mats which though more durable still leaves a lot of the floor carpet exposed. I wanted a liner as I have seen the wear on the carpet on my 06.
They shipped fairly quick and the packaging was decent...
I have a Canadian 2020 EX and was looking to add ambient lights. While looking under the dash from the glove box area I noticed a wiring harness not connected and taped close to each other. This is right behind the dash audio screen. Any ideas what this might be for? Pictures attached.
