Hi All,
I just finished my sound deadening project today. Here is my test results - Pictures will be attached.
Model : 2024 Touring
Material Used :
Amazon Basics on spare tire area and right front door
Siless Max 120mm on Front Left Door, Sliding doors (including panels), Inside rear quarter panels
Siless 80mm on Trunk, Third Row
How did measure decibel : iPhone 13 + Decibel X App
Total Hours Spent : Front Doors 3-4 hours , Sliding Doors (including Panels) 3-4 hours , the rest 10+ hours
Usually Audio shops charge $100 an hour for this job.
And here is the results :
70mph on highway before sound deadening : 70-71 decibel
70mph on highway after sound deadening : 63-64 decibel
Those results are same as my old 2022 BMW X3 with one better change - Suspensions work more quiet, sound quality is significantly better.
I just have one simple question, please answer if you know. Did you apply sound deadening on your Odyssey's wheel wells (inside the plastic part - AKA Fenter liner ) If you did, did you have any problem later as this area has a lot of moving parts.
Hope this helps other people
