So my SRS light has been on and I've managed to troubleshoot it a little. The lights do their self check when starting the '05 Ody and all looks good there, the SRS light functions normally.

But, once the drivers seatbelt is fastened, the SRS light comes on in 3 seconds after fastening the seat belt.

I recently had the windshield replaced so I'm wondering if a side airbag could have a problem or if it's related to the seatbelt.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance.

I had the SRS light come on, but I didn't notice if it was triggered by my buckling my seatbelt. But it DID end up there was a problem with the driver side buckle itself and this caused the SRS light to come on. It has a lifetime warranty, so you can take it to the dealer and they'll fix it. They told me while I was there that when the SRS light comes on, all the airbags are temporarily disabled until the problem is fixed... so my buckle issue was actually negating the presence of all my airbags! :uh:

Anyhow... for what it is worth... that was my experience.
