Well, sorta...
Someone mentioned on here about using a fabric sheet (Bounce) inside the seat cloth between foam & cloth to get rid of static electricity (at least for awhile). Since it appears you have to remove part of the seat to get inside the cloth, I elected instead to put the driver's seatback as far as it would go and rip a Bounce in half and work both halves into this area then raised the seat back up.
So far it seems to be working; the static electricity (which is getting worse as the humidity drops) is virtually gone. I'll report back in a couple of weeks as to the effectiveness of this.
In the meantime, my van has the 'just laundered' fresh smell!
