I've heard the brake cleaner idea before as a cleaner when all else fails. Haven't tried it tho'...

To add to the topic of strange things to use as cleaners I found out by watching a floor/carpet service guy that if all else fails, they try lighter fluid to remove spots from plastic or vinyl floors. I guess it works as a solvent.

Same disclaimer, try it on an inconspicuous (sp.?) place first, like your neighbour's Ford Windstar ;-) etc. etc. ...and don't smoke while you're doing it!
