I have owned my 2011 Odyssey for 2 months. I am hearing knocking noise when making a Rt or LT turn up front under the hood. I believe it is coming from the struts. Could be a bearing. Will have to make an appointment and take it in.

Anyone having this problem?

We started hearing this noise on both sides within a week of purchasing our 2011 Touring Elite ( under 500 total miles). Took it to my dealer and they replaced the entire front strut assembly. We've had the van back for a week now and the noise is no longer present. Good luck.

don't know if it's the suspension that i'm hearing, but i definitely notice some sound when the van is off-camber such as when merging back into traffic from a driveway and i'm coming off it at an angle. i thought it was the body.

Thanks...I have complete confidence in Honda. I owned a 2000 Odyssey for 11 years and never had a problem. I also have purchased the civic and Ridgeline over the years. Never a problem with Honda service. Will get it looked at this week.

We have a Touring Elite w/ 5,600 miles on it, purchased new Dec 3rd and we've been experiencing the same problem when turning left and right. I'm so thankful that we are not the only ones, I'll be stopping by the dealer very soon to have this issue addressed. Thanks forum members!!

Same here, front struts need replacement... nice on a 4 month old van with low mileage... I'd expect this on a Ford, not a Honda, LOL! oh well..

I guess we all have first year, early production units. So, we can expect to be early adopter guinea pigs I suppose. On the bright side, I have an excellent dealer and they are very accommodating. We don't have the strut noise yet (at 800 km), but I'm sure if we get it, the dealer will take care of it (along with the free car wash). :)

Agreed. My dealer was very good about it as well. I had a BMW 540 that the transmission went out at only 5k miles when the car was very new, stuff happens.

That is surprising. My 540 was the best BMW I owned and in 5 years of driving I barely had a problem with it. I didn't want to push my luck though, so I unloaded it at the 5 year mark. :)
