My Honda dealer at Tyson's Corner, VA offered Free Oil and Lube for 2 years. I thought it was a great incentive...until it was time for my first 7500 mile service. The free oil and lube at the dealership where I bought the car was $15.00, but the rest of the service charge was $75.00. The oil change would have added another $15.00, for a total of $90.00.
When I called another Honda dealer in Manassas, VA for a service quote, they told me it was $75.00. I asked them to explain why another dealership would have charged me $90.00 without the free oil and lube offer. I think the dealership is artificially jacking up their maintainence prices so as not to lose anything, regardless of the 'incentive' offer of free oil and lube for 2 years.
Any body had similar experiences, or have suggestions, in this department?
