Hmmm... maybe we should put this info on the Tech Page. What you guys think? This question always comes up if you know what I mean. ;)

Here's a link to that tire size calculator that someone else posted. I thought is ought to go here in the 'sticky' thread.

Inside Wheel Pic

This seemed like a good thread to post this picture of the inside of my stock '02 EX wheel. Note it is Enkei, Made in Japan, 16 x 6.5 with a 50mm offset.

245/40zr18 on 18x8.5 with a .45 offset fits like a glove!

With all due respect to those running the larger 18s and up, this list would be more comrehensive if it also included the 17 fitments and the non-OE 16s that fit.

In the latter category, I think Jerry O was running 235/60HR-16 (Pilot XGT H4) on the OE rims, although he later upgraded to aftermarket alloy wheels.

I have the 2006 and I am glad I went with the 45mm instead of the 40mm offset on my 20's. I loaded the KX450F on the Versa Hauler and the gear in the back, and it dropped the rear end right down over the tire.

Cleared so close, it was perfect! The 5mm would have made it rub, but I am also running 255/40s to get the wheel diameter as close to stock as I could.

Love the way it looks and drives.

Thaks to all you out there with the updates and info provided.

17 x 8 (55mm)- 255/55/17- rubs in back... barely... I would say you have about 12-13mm of clearance in there (these needed 18mm).

At 12mm, you could run

8.5"- 42mm or less offset
8" - 50mm or less offset
7.5"- 55mm or less offset
7"- 60 or less offset

Finally, RDX wheels don't work because they are different bolt pattern

Thanks everyone. This really helps. I plan to mount Montegi 18''s or 20's on Bridgestone Potenza Pole Position rubber this week.

The fitment of the 245/50-18s on the MDX wheels (45mm offset) seems perfect, unless one is going to approach the GVW limit of the van, which leaves them a bit lacking in load rating, 100 vs 103 for the OE tires. Handling is great and the 8.7" wide tread vs 7.3" for the OEs inspires great confidence when braking.

Is a 215/65/17 ok?

Hi,

I traded my DHS Caddy in for a loaded Ody EX-L the other day.

My Caddy had 215/65/17 new Blizzak snow tires. I want to know if anyone knows any reason I can't have these installed on the Ody, which calls for 235/65/17?

06, 07, 08 are 5x120 just like the BMWs

40 - 45mm offset works.
BMW wheels do NOT fit on the 2005+ Ody because the 12mm lug holes are too small for 14mm studs!
