Yes. Read the 1st post of the VCM Mega-Thread which is at the top of this section. Consensus is to disable it with a "muzzler".

At this age you do likely need valve cover gaskets if never performed.
That is a big job. They may be leaking, but may not be. More likely, ....
It could also be the rear spool valve as shown in these videos.
This job is easier. I would start here.
Note the second video @ 2:30, there are two gaskets to change while valve out.

Thanks that was really helpful, so as far as my situation goes...I think that the leak is coming from the VVT Solenoid (which is part of the VCM system). I will still have to replace the gasket that is leaking there, then probably consider that muzzle to disable the VCMYes. Read the 1st post of the VCM Mega-Thread which is at the top of this section.
