Hello, I've been troubleshooting this for a while. I've seen lots of threads about the seatback sticking upright, or being locked flat against the seat bottom. That's not my issue. My issue is it won't unlatch from the floor.

I've unzipped the seat and attacked it from the front and the back. Every cable that is mentioned as a problem in various Youtube videos and forum threads - they all seem to move appropriately. You can see that one of the seat-back cables had a broken yellow holder - a common failure - and I zip tied that into place, but it was not out of place to begin with, and seems to move appropriately.

At the floor, the latch springs seem to move appropriately. But it is still locked in position.

Any ideas?

I hit the floor mechanism with some compressed air and then PB Blaster. I will let it sit overnight.

Here is a video of the floor latch. I can see the mechanism moving, but the hook doesn't seem to be moving. Please don't have a seizure with this video - guess I was using an LED flashlight!

Here's more photos of the wire mechanism actually working. That upper, horizontal spring does move back and forth, as well as the lower one.

So the wiring is all hooked up and working correctly. The failure point must be down at the hook in the floor, I guess?
