Hello everyone,
We have an 04 Ody with low miles (around 62k). The manual states the timing belt needs to be replaced every 7 years/105K. Given that the van is going on 8 years now, even though it has low miles, should I still have the timing belt changed? Thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks!

Original timing belt can last up to 105K miles or 10 years. I still suggest you go with Honda's recommended service interval. I did mine at 10 years and around 105K miles, which I don't recommend to anyone unless you have a dependable mechanic inspect the belt condition.

Heat is a big factor.
If you're taking a long trip or do alot of stop-and-go in hot weather, I would change it.
I know all about winter in Chicago though, I think you could wait at least til Julyl
