I picked up a set of Pilot wheels for my 2019 Odyssey. I need some help deciding what size tire to run on them. I've been thinking either 245/50/20 or 255/45/20. I like 245/50/20 because the taller sidewall might be more comfortable, but not sure if it'll look too much tire. I like the 255/45/20 because the shorter sidewall will probably look better, but the tread width would be a bit wider which might effect gas mileage.

Both will work. One will be slightly taller:
154347

154348

The other will be slightly shorter but overall closer to your stock diameter:
154349

154350

In either case, your sidewall isn't much different (4.5" vs 4.8"), mostly because sidewall measurement (45 vs 50) is actually a percentage of the width (first number), which is in millimeters. So 45% of 255 mm is not much different than 50% of 245 mm.

I personally prefer 255/45 because of more contact patch with the road for handling and better stability.

I have a set of Pilot wheels identical to yours and I have a set of lightly used DWS 06 waiti g to be put on in that size.

Hope this helps.

I got 255/45 R20 and happy af :D
Van now feels like a car, surprisingly great handling for such a large, tall box on wheels, not sure if 0.3 inch will make any difference though
I would say go with 255/45, also I didn't see any difference in gas mileage, maybe because my aftermarket wheels are only 25 lb vs pilot wheels around 32-33lb? you might get some MPG reduction, in my case I was averaging 21-22 and still getting 21-22
