I found a big, whoppy paint chip on the hood this evening. There's no dent, so I don't know how the paint chipped like that. It's about half the size of a dime... and it's completely down to the bare metal.

It must have been there probably a couple of days now... I see a tiny tiny sign of rust around the edge.

What the best thing to do?

Should I get my dremel and sand off the any sign of rust and just cover it up with touch up paint from Honda? Would guys recommend doing anything else or differently?

Thanks.

- Look it up.
- No dremel.
- Masking tape surrounding areas, then use sandpaper to prepare the area.
- Spray some primer and let it sit.
- Then use touch-up paint.

Does Honda sell touch up paint in a spray can? I've only ever seen it sold in a bottle...

I think you meant Google the subject... I did... and found this: DIY: Repairing Paint Chips, which is about the same thing you said... only in more details.
