I just recently bought a 95 odyssey. Needed a head gasket, replaced it and it ran GREAT! Well after driving it for about 2 weeks, I went to get in it and drive one day and it wouldn't come out of park. I then used the shift lock bypass on top of the column just to get the van where I needed it. While driving it to the destination immediately afterward I noticed the transmission was shifting really late. ( wont shift into second until 30mph, third around 50 and wont shift into 4th until around 78.) Has anyone else experienced this? Driving it like this is killing me in gas, and I am afraid it will destroy the trans. I don't know if they are linked, but I find it weird that when the shift lock solenoid went out, it started shifting stupid. I have replaced the fluid, vehicle speed sensor, brake light switch, put a brand new transmission ground on, and checked all the solenoids on the exterior of the transmission. They are all clicking as should be. Someone please please please help me!!!

Thank you!!! This totally fixed 99% of the problem. Now it just wont downshift. But that could be because I didn't actually replace the sensor, just driving with it unplugged until I either get to the junk yard or dealer! Thanks again!!!
