Today when I was trying to parallel park, I shifted into reverse and heard a loud "clunk". I remember people have talked about this before. So is this one of the problems ? Did honda fix it ? My ody is a 2001 model.

Where did the sound seem to come from? If you have a pretty full tank of gas, the gas tank sloshing noise sounds a little "clunky"... do a search through the bulletin board, there were a number of descriptions of the true "transmission clunk" and compare what you heard to the descriptions.

Good luck.

Honda automatics are different from other automatics in that they resemble manual transmission more than the sun gear transmissons produced by others.
Consequently shifting is not as smooth and clunking into reverse is not unusual.
The shift to reverse is done by a lever rather than a band tightening on a drum. So rather than getting softer with age, shifting becomes harder.
Not unusual.
