See attached photo and circle. I was looking at this van I was considering purchasing today, and I saw what looked like a completely detached vacuum tube just to the left of the battery tray. But, because I have no idea what "normal" looks like right there, I wasn't sure whether I was looking at a problem or not. In a Volvo, I'd be thinking, "Ah, found the vacuum leak / source of evap codes / etc." - but this could just be a normal valve or vent of some kind.

Looks like coolant hose..... It is the hose underneath? I don't see anything that appear to be totally "detached".

Under the coolant hoses- looks like the transmission vent, but I can't be sure.
(waiting for a more authoritive 'master' to post!)

That's looking pretty likely to me as I search around. Thanks for pointing me in (what is probably) the right direction.

Transmission vent cover. Normal for residue. I would remove it, clean it, and reinstall.
I do this at least once a year.....just pull it off and clean it as stated by @MrRangerZr1 , pretty easy OP.
