Chronic lower back pain caught up with me for the umpteenth time early yesterday.

Later in the day, we went for a 1 hour drive each way to see the in-laws. Just to try out the seat heater, I turned it on and adjusted the lumbar support. Wow, that warmth felt really great on my lower back, just in the right spot!

We wanted the heated seats mostly for my wife - all you have to do is say "winter," and she starts shivering.

Next time the back starts acting up, I'm going for a drive...

Do you find the white laces give better stability on uneven surfaces? I'm thinking of trading in my 16 in. laces for 18 inch. Wadda ya think?

I use the stock 36" white laces and the American standard zigzag lacing pattern:

Would this expose your identity if you were undercover in Libya etc? ( I chose Libya because I can't spell Afghanistan). (Maybe shoes alone would do it.)

You're probably right. They wear Adidas® and Nike® in Libya. My New Balance® would stand out like the wires holding up the UFOs in 50's sci-fi movies.
