Okay, this is the dumbest thing I did today at the Natural Museum of History in NY. Parking spot was so tight, I was maneuvering, trying to back up and the mirror brushed against the pilon on the driver's side and snapped off the pivot on the car and was dangling from the wiring assembly.

Is this easy to fix? Can I just replace that pivoting part? Thanks!

The bad news is that you have to replace the whole mirror. The good news is that it comes pre-painted from Honda and is fairly easy to replace.

The mirror is not too difficult to replace. Pry off the inside plastic cover and then unbolt the mirror. It costs about $227US at College Hills Honda Parts for a 2002.

Very nice instructions with photos of each step
.. I ordered the individual parts from the dealer and not much more expensive. My dealer had pictures of each part with manual so knew I was ordering the right part.
