Greetings all,

I have a question that I haven't been able to find an answer for, even after a fairly extensive search of the archives. We just bought an '11 EX-L from our local dealership. One of the discussion points of the negotiations was the validity of the 3 yr, 36000 mile warranty overseas. The dealer and representatives assured us it was valid. However, after browsing the forums and looking at the fine print of the warranty, it clearly states that the terms of the warranty are only honored in the US.

We're a military/government family going overseas and I don't want to lose and/or void the factory warranty.

Do any of you have any experience with this?

I only had used cars, so a warranty was never an issue. Off the top of my head it would seem to me that you would have a hard time getting any warranty work done since the van is a North American model only. Warranty claims are handled by the business unit for that region (U.S., Canada, Middle East, etc). I would imagine they are under no obligation to honor a warranty for a vehicle not sold in their region.
