On second thought, lets see where this leads. If it becomes a Muzzle v/s not to muzzle debate, it will be closed like all other VCM debates.

@ChevyOdyssey, we do not come to the Odyclub, post question and then delete them. I have restored the last posts of both your post(s) which you deleted.

Also, instead of the short cuts you are looking for, how about fixing the parasitic battery woes (usually the rear door latches as indicated in dozens of threads here) and then fixing the Ody correctly?

Wouldn't the CEL being always on also blind you of other issues in the car? Otherwise why go through the trouble of buying/installing a VCM device if all you have to do is freely disconnect this oil pressure switch?
It would. It was heavily debated early on during VCM Muzzler's development phases. That is why the VCM devices exist so that you do not have to see a constantly lit CEL.

This is also why I normally lock ALL VCM debates as the same crap keeps getting rehashed over and over again with different people (some old, some new folks).

@WiiMaster We have been driving with both vvt pressure switches unplugged for a couple weeks now. The injectors are still shutting down with the eco mode turning on can feel a stumble and pretty sure the torque converter trys disengaging. With the 1 pin wire disconnected yes the vvt is not actuating when given the command from the ecu (ect1 warmed up/low torque conditions) but since the van has no CEL the vcm system is still active. The battery shut off switch and being used for sub 15 mile trips we still never had a CEL. So does anyone have ideas for a safe immediate CEL
VCM Muzzler is there but you want to make things difficult for yourself.

Why did you need a new id?

Sorry lost my account password and locked out of my email. Also I live inside the van lol in a rough spot in life rn.. anyway so the tuner 2 has the relearn mode, I need extra 160$ and an address to mail it to. I try to stick to local parts store / Amazon lockers. Already had to patch the trans cooler lines and low pressure steering lines and unsieze the rear brakes. This van has been tons of work just for it to stumble into eco mode. It really needs 70$ set of spark plugs I think that's next. And no I'm not a bum or collecting welfare I work 25hrs a week make 250$ after taxes that gets me food gas insurance laundry and a gym membership
Well. Snip the sensor wire and wire in spade connectors and make your non-smart Muzzler using the resistors listed in the original VCMuzzler II thread. Why make this difficult than it needs to be?

A short while ago a member even gave one away with the cost shipping (guess who got that lol)
I'd be darned. I must have missed the working one which was free with only the cost of shipping deal. LOL.

If it is '08 model, then one can even get this ($17 and it is plug and play. One can probably NOT make it with correct harness ends for that much cheaper IMHO):
In addition to the money issues, in one of the posts, the OP said they live out of their Ody and do not have a mailing address. So, no way to accept a package I assume.

I can have amazon stuff sent to Amazon lockers but now I'm thinking I should try to fix the parasitic drains
Hmmm. I wonder who said that first.

Also, instead of the short cuts you are looking for, how about fixing the parasitic battery woes (usually the rear door latches as indicated in dozens of threads here) and then fixing the Ody correctly?

id rather have a CEL then never know if the engine overheats and tricking the pcm
Amazing. So much misplaced fear. I don't think you have comprehended either of the two stickies impacting you. The VCM one or the sliding doors one.

I also have my doubts on your claim of the VCM not disabling when a CEL is on. I think you are way over analyzing/thinking this and causing yourself and us pain. I shouldn't have had a second thought and opened your thread that day.

Oh well. I am done here. You can continue going in circles between those two topics and chase your own tail.
