Got my Vin today. How can you tell if Van was made in Alabama or Canada. Also is there a way to tell when it came off the line ex. was it number 200th built?

Thanks

I don't think Alabama is cranking out Odys yet... and I was under the impression that the last four digits of your VIN indicate the production number.

AFAIK, if the VIN number begins with:

1 = US Plant
2 = Canada Plant.

This is for all vehicles sold in North America.

No, "1" doesn't mean US plant. 5 = US plant.

Here's how to read your 2002 Odyssey VIN:

(1~3)=
5FN: US Honda, multi-purpose passenger vehicle
2HK: Canada Honda, multi-purpose passenger vehicle

(4~6)=
RL1: Odyssey

(7)=
8: 5 door

(8)=
0: EXL-RES
5: LX
6: EX
7: EXL-NAV
9: EXL

(9): a check digit

(10)=
2: model year 2002

(11)=
B: Lincolin (Alabama) Factory
H: Ontario Factory

(12~17): serial number=
500001~ : US model
000001~ : Canada model

Sorry - traditionally all US made vehicles began with a one. My US made Honda Accord does.

4 and 5 are new to me. Perhaps the government added those to accomodate increased US manufacturing by non US based firms.
