I have an EX so it came with rails. But I bought some Thule crossbars and feet as a package on sale from Lands End. Only the factory rack will mount into the rubber area of the roof. But an outfitter can install a track to the roof just inside that area. You might even check out auto dismantlers. Google "carpart.com" and look for the used parts. There is a nationwide parts search feature. The factory rack connects to studs built into the roof under the rubber. See the installation instructions on the Handa site.

It works for me. I like this because it's stronger than the OEM & it has locks so it's hard to steal.

Junkyard

I went to the junkyard today specifically for roof rack for my LX. As luck would have it, all they had there was an LX - without the rack. I would like a rack, but don't want to spend $200 bucks either.

I thought someone recently posted that he used a Chysler roof rack after he shortened it a little bit. Might want to try that.
