I got to see the warranty orders for a car I am considering buying.
It reads:

Defect Code 5JR00, Failed Part No. 37820-RGM-A86
Defect Code 5VM00, Failed Part No. 57110-SHJ-964

What are these (general area)?
Web search does not turn up anything, surprisingly.

Editing my initial post to add:

I found out that one of these parts is the (pricey) ECM.
What does require an ECM replacement?

Search is not easy for short acronyms...

the second one is for the VSA system (and costs a couple hundred dollars more than the ECM, actually) - as far as why they were replaced, the old ones must have been defective - electronics sometimes go bad... anyway - maybe if you take the VIN to a dealer service department, they can pull up the repair info which should say what the problem was.

I am told the units were flashed with routine recommended software update, not changed over, and not responding to a driving problem experienced by the user.

I bought it BTW.
