That's exactly what I did! Just waiting for vcmtunerII to not be on backorder! Thank unew plugs, muzzle it, clear the code, put a bottle of techron in half a tank of gas.
drive it hard when getting on the highway.
You are safe from aliens....for now...😁@bresodyssey , I'm just glad you're not a UFO alien infiltrator trying to wrest the "secrets" of Odyclub away from us.
We're kind of like the Knights Templar, sworn to an oath to uphold the precepts of "Odydom" (like a Kingdom, but different ...)
Anyways, I'm just glad that now I don't have to worry about being abducted by aliens and can now drive deserted off-highway roads at night in my Odyssey without aliens thinking it might be a pickup truck with a missing spark plug (if the reference to this is unclear, just see that The Kids in the Hall comedy sketch I posted in post #55 above ... I'm the first non-alien guy in the sketch, on the gurney, with the missing teeth ... )
😁 😅👍

get on the list...That's exactly what I did! Just waiting for vcmtunerII to not be on backorder! Thank u
I'll check that out! No I'm in Alberta. He's a mechanic at a Ford dealership that was the first red flag 😂 but he was a friend of a friendget on the list...
alternatively you could unplug the rear rocker arm oil pressure switch, which would trigger a harmless check engine light, and would disable the VCM system until your vcmtunerII arrives.
here is the procedure.

Blinking CEL while driving to Disneyworld…
Hey everyone, discovered this super helpful community while digging for much needed info. Arrived into Orlando last night after 800 mile drive. CEL blinking after engine stuttered for a brief second while on Highway at about 70mph. Pulled into gas station and 10 min later restarted, CEL no...www.odyclub.com
you in the GTA?
hopefully you're never going back to that shop...
yea, some of those rural Alberta areas, you wont see much more than a Ferd dealer let alone a Honda dealer.I'll check that out! No I'm in Alberta. He's a mechanic at a Ford dealership that was the first red flag 😂 but he was a friend of a friend
Cool thank you!yea, some of those rural Alberta areas, you wont see much more than a Ferd dealer let alone a Honda dealer.
😐
verbatim sells the vcm muzzlerII and operates out of Edmonton I think.
another option if you don't want to wait.
Clearly you must have squashed one of the aliens while he was in act of stealing VCM Honda tech,Update again! Had a gassy smell the past couple days so I checked the torque on the plugs but only the coil in cylinder 2 came out with oil on it and it looks like there's oil down around the spark plug. Any ideas?
Take the free cabin air filter but that won't do anything.Updating again. Inside of my cab still smells like gas only when I start it then goes away after driving for a bit. Took it to a shop and they can't find anything wrong and can't smell anything but multiple people can including myself! They are replacing the cabin filter for free to see if that helps. Any theories? I can't be breathing in gas everyday 😕
The smell is definitely inside the vehicle and there's no gas leaking out onto the ground. He said my fuel lines were dry? They've had it for almost 2 days so I figured they would check out anywhere that gas goes and have an idea of what to look for. I mentioned the spark plugs and he didn't seem to think it was that.Take the free cabin air filter but that won't do anything.
Are you certain the gasoline smell is coming through the vents? The shop may have looked at the fuel lines under the hood (which is where I'd look first, to be honest). The fuel tank and fuel pump assembly are under the second row seats. Maybe a seal is starting to fail under there?
what year is your Odyssey? 3rd gen had fuel pump recall that caused the fuel smell in cabin. The smell is definitely inside the vehicle and there's no gas leaking out onto the ground.
