Trying to troubleshoot the backlighting for the gear selector, and my multimeter probe slipped and accidently shorted inside the bulb socket.

Now all the lighting for switches in the dash are not working. I am trying to check fuses to see if I blew one, but the owner's manual is not very descriptive. Does anyone know which fuse goes to the dash lights?

Could someone try pulling fuse #6 from the fuse box at the driver's side kick panel (7.5A for the "Interior Lights") and then tell me if the dash switches (heater controls, radio buttons, etc.) still light up with the headlights on?

This would help me to determine if I have a blown fuse or a burnt wire. (Since my lights are already out, I cannot figure out if this is the fuse for the dash lights or not).

TIA

I found the fuse for the dash lights.

It is fuse #7 in the Passenger's Side Interior Fuse Box. The owner's manual labels this circuit as "HAC Option". I have no idea what that is supposed to mean.

This is for a 2005 Touring with the works.
