I recently change the air filter in the engine comp. I had to loosen the negative battery cable to do so, which inturn, reset the computer, clock and radio presets. The problem, there is now a ticking noise coming from the steering column, sounds like turn signal indicator, it comes and goes when the driver side door is open or closed, key on or off, once I drive the vehicle for 1-2 minutes it stops and does not return until I open the door at destination. The check engine light was on,(catalytic converter needs replacing), prior to the air filter change but ticking was not. The check engine light is now back on, haven't checked for new codes, assuming it is still cat. related.
