In other vehicles I have had several small cracks or chips. Generally, if they are smaller than a quarter, they can be fixed so that they don't turn into a larger problem. You will likely still see part of the damage, but it is better than paying for a new windshield. Also, I believe some of the insurance companies will pay for the repair even if it is less than your deductible. I know that State Farm will. Also, most of the places are mobile, so the convenience factor is great.

I know how you feel. I had our 1994 Isuzu windshield replaced because of a major crack. It had already been repaired several years earlier for a chip. I had a chip-free windshield for about 4 months before getting another chip!

I hope that helps some,

Jeff
