What do you guys recommend for getting that sandblasting off your windshield after a year or two of freeway driving?

I noticed it on my older car after driving the new Ody. The glass on the Odyssey was practially invisible, but the glass on the 2000 was little tiny spots on it all over. They are not "chips."

It looks sort of like dust that will not clean off no matter what.

What's the secret?

Yeah, all those little "pits" gather crud and are the reason an older windshield is almost impossible to clear with wipers. One might ask a glass dealer if they have some sort of polishing ritual which can renew the surface. I do not know that this would be a good DIY project. If the glass gets too bad, your insurance company may be willing to replace it, rather than have you wreck on a rainy day, due to poor visibility.
