Hi guys I have owned a 1998 Honda Odyssey for a long time and put a lot of mostly trouble-free miles on it but she needs a tranny. Right now my reverse grinds. Forward (Drive) works flawlessly.

Has anyone had any success with used or rebuilt trannys? Any recommendations or does anyone have a tranny they want to sell?

Thanks

Jeff

try ctpowertrain. CT POWERTRAIN PRODUCTS Home Page rebuild kit with steels $175, reman TC $150. If you can pull it, you can rebuild it. :) Grinding in reverse sounds weird, it's just a collar that the shift fork moves off the countershaft 4th gear and engages reverse. The shift fork is moved by a piston, wondering if you have low pressure which is keeping it from engaging all the way, or if you have a cracked o-ring. My reverse piston oring was the worse one on the whole trans.
