Looking to purchase a used, crack-less, low mileage (less than 140K miles) exhaust manifold for a 1998 2.3L LX/EX.

just curious... have you given any thought to just buying a cheap ebay header for an f22/f23? something like this: 94-97 HONDA ACCORD DX LX EX F22B1 STAINLESS RACE HEADER - eBay (item 230585341946 end time Feb-19-11 16:02:42 PST) Just wanted to ask.

Exhaust manifold for 1998 Odyssey

I have not been having a lot of success with aftermarket exhaust parts for my Odyssey. The DORMAN cast iron exhaust manifold just plain did not fit. The DORMAN CAT did fit, but it choked at less than 50K miles of use.

The Honda parts catalogs indicate that only Honda Accord EX 94-97 exhaust manifold and the odyssey exhaust manifold are the same: 18000-P0A-101; Accord LX and DX 94-97 are very different; the exhaust on these cars go 4-1. The 18000-P0A-010 is a 4-2-1 system..

The photo for this auction item looks right but the application information seems inconsistent with the catalog information and stud patterns that I've seen.

the overall length and the flange that bolts to the cat are the important parts. I used an accord header for my friends ody. it was pretty close (about 1" to short) but the rubber hanger had enough slack to just pull the rest of the exh fwd and bolt it up. just make sure you buy a header that has the right flange you should be ok
